Northeast Textiles, Inc., is a Steffens Family owned and operated company. We specialize in hospitality and healthcare, printed, dyed, and flame retardant fabrics as well as custom created and printed designs. We manufacture in America on primarily American made goods with 100% recyclable products and environmentally friendly water based inks. We are housed in a 28,000 sq. ft. plant on 6 acres. We have recently overhauled all of our equipment, upgraded our computer operating systems and are installing solar panels to provide 89% of our energy needs. Our team is comprised of friendly, vibrant, and knowledgeable professionals who meet each project with enthusiasm.
Northeast was initially formed in 1985 as the industrial/military converting arm of the Berkshire Hathaway textile organization. In 1987, we became independent, still specializing in military and industrial fabrics converted through major domestic and international sources.
1995 was marked by the acquisition of the Fox-Wells division of Doran Textiles, a major converter of flame retardant sheers, woven fancies, and prints for the hospitality and health care trades marketed through jobbers and workrooms. In 1997, we embarked on a direct marketing program to designers, specifiers, and purchasing firms.
In 1999 we opened a modern design center and print facility complete with in-house styling, digital cad design, and sample printing capabilities. We offer custom prints to 72” and running line prints to 126” on 32 different base cloths.
Our growth has led us to search out the most mutually advantageous mills and fabrics for the best market applications. Our healthcare and hospitality lines offer a variety of choices for a multitude of installation options. From sheers to running line prints, from faux leathers to cubicle curtains, from custom prints to room darkening fabrics and blackouts, we have what our customers need.
Northeast Textiles is defined by a commitment to outstanding customer service. We also maintain streamlined processes that reduce costs allowing us to keep prices low. We are proud of our accomplishments and look forward to accepting challenges for our future.
